Are you interested in knowing what the color trends will be for next year? We attended the Sherwin-Williams Color Mix 2017 event on Wednesday, October 5, which took place at the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center (ADAC as it’s known to local Atlantans.) The Color Mix event aims to show which colors will be trending in the coming year, and as designers we like to stay ahead of the curve.
Sherwin-Williams presented four distinct color palettes: Noir, Holistic, Intrepid, and Unbounded. Although each palette varied in its inspiration, I saw a common theme for 2017: Identity. As cultural migration is happening more and more frequently, as a society we yearn for realism and self-expression.
